Sending Gift Cards

Send a gift card to anyone via email — designed your way, all the way into their wallet.

How to send

1. Tap Send from the home screen
2. Choose a store for the gift card
3. Select an amount
4. Tap Customize to design the card (optional)
5. Enter the recipient's email address
6. Add a personal message — up to 150 characters, with starter prompts per occasion
7. Pay via Apple Pay, Google Pay, or card

Design the card

Pick from 16 themes (Birthday, Anniversary, Sympathy, Pride, Photo, and more), choose a template and pattern, and add up to 12 stickers. You can upload your own photo as the card background, choose any of 8 fonts for your message, and pick a size from the slider. Every change is reflected in the live preview as you make it.

What the recipient sees

They receive a branded email from you with your personal message, the gift amount, and a Claim Your Gift Card button. The first 80 characters of your note appear in their inbox preview alongside the subject line — far more compelling than a generic "you got a gift".

Wallet-ready

The same design follows the card into Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The chosen template, accent colour, pattern, photo, stickers, and personal message all bake into the pass face — your design is what the recipient sees every time they raise the card at the lock screen.

Schedule a gift for later

When sending, toggle Schedule for later and pick a date. The recipient won't be notified until that date — perfect for birthdays and surprises.

Can I send to someone who doesn't have ReloadCard?

Yes. They'll be prompted to create an account when they click the link. It takes 30 seconds.
