Is ReloadCard free to use?

Yes for consumers — no fees to load, transfer, or send gift cards. Merchants pay a platform fee of 3.99% + $0.30 (with cross-store transfers enabled) or 5% per transaction; new merchants get 3 months at 0% at launch.

Do I need to download an app?

No app store download. Install ReloadCard to your home screen — it opens full-screen like a native app. Tap the browser share button → "Add to Home Screen."

Can I use my card at any store?

Each card is issued by a specific store. To spend balance at a different store, use the free Transfer feature to move it.

Are transfers really free?

For consumers, yes. You transfer $40, you get $40 at the destination. The destination store pays a small network fee, not you.

What if I lose my physical card?

Your balance is safe in your ReloadCard account. Sign in, keep using the digital version, or order a replacement physical from the store.

Can I get a refund on a gift card?

Contact the issuing store directly. Most stores issue store credit back to your ReloadCard account rather than a cash refund.

How long are gift cards valid?

3–7 years depending on jurisdiction. Never expire in California, Florida, New Jersey, and many other states. Topping up generally resets the clock.

Can I transfer between stores in different countries?

Yes. The app shows the exchange rate before you confirm.

Can I schedule a gift for a future date?

Yes — toggle "Schedule for later" when sending and pick a date.

How do I add a card to Apple or Google Wallet?

Open the card → "Add to Apple Wallet" or "Save to Google Wallet." Live balance syncs every time you open the pass.
