Shopify Setup
Connect your Shopify store to ReloadCard in under 5 minutes.
Step 1: Install the app
From your merchant dashboard, click Connect Shopify and enter your Shopify store URL (e.g., yourstore.myshopify.com).
Step 2: Authorize permissions
Shopify will ask you to approve these permissions:
- Read/write gift cards — to create and manage gift card balances
- Read orders — to track when consumers redeem gift cards
Step 3: Set up Stripe Connect
Go to Settings → Reload Network and complete Stripe Connect onboarding. This ensures consumer payments go directly to your bank account.
Step 4: Join the Reload Network
Fill in your store details and go live on the network so consumers can discover your store in the ReloadCard app.
How it syncs
When a consumer activates or reloads a card at your store:
- ReloadCard creates a Shopify gift card in your store (or credits an existing one)
- The gift card code is stored securely — consumers can use it at your Shopify checkout
- Balance syncs automatically between ReloadCard and Shopify
Physical cards
Order custom-branded physical cards from your merchant dashboard. Cards can be pre-loaded with specific denominations and listed as products in your Shopify store.
Troubleshooting
- Can't connect? — Make sure you're using the
.myshopify.comdomain, not a custom domain - Gift cards not appearing? — Check that you've approved the
write_gift_cardsscope - Payments not arriving? — Complete Stripe Connect onboarding in Settings → Reload Network
